I Want to Be a Millionaire!

by Jayne Kopp on June 4, 2010

I want to be a millionaire!

If I had a nickel for the times I’ve heard this… I’d be one a few times over!

I’m not saying there is anything wrong with this… at all. Hell, I want to be a millionaire… and you too… however… when this is the only goal in mind when asking to partner up with me… …yet there’s no desire to work towards this outcome, my response has to be: “you’ll have to learn how to become a serious entrepreneur first!”

Get Rich Quick

Get Rich Quick, Fast Cash Machine

The problem is there are so many business opportunity seekers who look at the internet as a fast cash, get rich quick machine. Why??… I have no idea. I’m thinking that maybe they’ve seen too many websites with the huge mansion, fast cars and false promises of ‘turnkey’ or ‘autopilot; business opportunities. They’re perhaps under false delusions that building a successful online business is simply a matter of sighing up with a venture, which in turn causes money to pour from the sky!

Money Falling From Sky

I can tell immediately whether a person truly wishes to learn how to be a serious entrepreneur. The ones expressing motivation & the willingness to learn, sound devoted, alive & hungry. They’re the ones who’ll likely roll up their sleeves and dig in the way I did.

The “I want to be a millionaire’ types sound rudely awakened by the phone …or perhaps are still in bed sounding somewhat comatose and in permanent brain-freeze. Their primary focus is money (but not earning it)…and how quickly they’ll see some. They’re not particularly interested in learning ‘how’ to earn, they just want it now. Admittedly most have had no previous business experience and aren’t particularly interested in gaining any even if to improve their own situation!

Whats work

Work? Effort? What?

Frankly I’m tired of it and no longer waste time with business opportunity seekers who have no desire to work or learn how to become serious entrepreneurs and follow my lead.

I’ve had it with sob stories from those who simply won’t help themselves even though they haven’t got a pot to p… well you know…in… and yet, could have so much to gain.

I realize unfortunate challenges are faced by many, (I’ve been there…) but nobody benefits from playing violin about being dumped, the dog dying, being fired, laid off, feeling low, lost, no experience, lack of technical skills, don’t like people, don’t like sales, don’t like computers, don’t feel motivated.

I’m also disheartened by those who refuse to invest even a few dollars and a little effort “in case IT doesn’t work”…What?? It’s got nothing to do with ‘it’ not working. Hello….,

What I’m really trying to get at is… there is nothing wrong with thinking ‘I want to be a millionaire’… as it’s definitely possible, but what’s the matter with ‘starting’ and then earning a few dollars, and then a few hundred… and duplicate from there?? We all have to start somewhere and carving out a comfortable living is something ANYBODY can do!

…I’m not trying to make online success sound terribly difficult, but really hope to hammer home there’s effort required! Plug in people… anything this awesome deserves work!

I now work with business opportunity seekers who are interested in knowing how to be serious entrepreneurs first and foremost. People, who are willing to roll up their sleeves, learn some skills and take action.

If you fit this description, you want to make money on the internet but don’t know where to start, contact me to get your questions answered. Again, there’s nothing wrong with the ‘I want to be a millionaire’ mindset, just be realistic about what’s required and don’t try to put the cart before the horse!

Hi Jayne,
I am 42 with 2 teenage boys. Having come from a divorce and getting nothing from it I have begun my own cleaning business to help pay bills and starting from scratch again with absolutely nothing. It was a fairly easy business to start and enabled me to put money away for living expenses etc. I am having trouble moving onto doing something that will give me more financial freedom, work satisfaction and finding something i want to do. I am working so hard in this business just to get by that I know there are opportunities out there and I can do it but I just dont know what to do or where to start. I was wondering if you had some advice that may help me? Thank you.

Hi Carolyn, I am sorry to hear of your struggles. Been there and done that! With the added heartache, it also makes it difficult to ‘feel’ good and have enough energy to incorporate new things into your life doesn’t it!?… There are many exciting options for you on the internet and I would be pleased to share some accumulated knowledge. I will send you an email this next day or so and perhaps we can have a chance to discuss a couple of options you can start immediately or when your time allows it. Keep your chin up and try to focus on all the positives in your life. Its tough sometimes but seeing the simple blessings help!
