What is Success to You?

What is success?

What is Success to you… and why is it important?

Have you ever broken it down and considered your “big why” or the importance on wanting to achieve it?

Is it money? Time? A life free from stress? The opportunity to spend more time with your children?

As I side note, I realize that success means different things to different people. Success to you could be losing weight, receiving a promotion at work, developing and conquering a skill or passing and exam, but in many cases success is tied into time freedom and fulfillment with money being solely the vehicle to achieve it.

Now regardless of your definition, it’s obvious that by reading this article, success is on your mind! I’m curious as to whether you have thought about how you might achieve it, and whether it is important enough to work towards, exert some effort, and possibly make some changes?

I’ll share with you what success means to me and why it is important:

It’s being able to spend time and focus solely on my children! That’s it! I want to spend as much time with them as possible, provide for them well and ensure their childhood is whimsically memorable! I want them to be happy and content, experience fun filled holidays, enjoy life to the fullest and always be present when they need me.

It was after I narrowed this down that I was able to appreciate the importance, and it was after realizing the importance, that the necessity to make some changes became obvious.

I realized that if I did what I had always done, that I was going to get what I’d always gotten (as Tony Robbins puts it). I realized that sometime in life, if you really want to achieve success, and if it’s important enough to work towards, you have to make some changes, step out there, take some chances and move ahead in the direction of your goal(s).

By making the changes that I have over the last couple of years, I learned it really wasn’t that difficult. I just had to get out of my own way, put one foot in front of the other, learn a few new skills, and just do it. What’s more, I know that if I can learn to make changes to achieve success, anyone can… if indeed, their reasons are strong enough and important enough to do so.

If you are in a position where you are not as happy as you should be, you truly desire to get ahead, change personally and financially and you have a clear understanding on what you desire, don’t over-think it!! It’s not nearly as difficult as you might imagine, it’s just a matter of DOING!

We all have wants and needs and things we’d like to improve upon. We all want less stress and more time. I know because I talk to people every day who just want to break free and change the course of their life and I am convinced that success is possible for anyone!

So what is success to you? Is your ‘big why’ important enough to you to make some changes, learn a few skills and move in the direction of your goals?

If the answer is yes, and you would like some information on the steps I took and how I might be able to assist you, contact me at any time…the conversation is free and just might be what you need.

Hi Jayne,

I completely agree, I want the same things for my children.

It’s also true that sometimes we have to get out of our own way. I love the way you put that. ;)

Great and inspiring post!
