Affiliate Marketing & Two Terrific Online Marketing Courses

by Jayne Kopp on April 29, 2011

online marketing courses, online marketing course, best online marketing, learn affiliate marketing, affiliate marketing

Though out of the ordinary for me, today I’m discussing affiliate marketing and sharing two of the best Online Marketing Courses I’ve bought… Ever!

You may recall in my post yesterday I shared my thoughts on what I felt was the best online marketing business for a newbie. This post idea was inspired by a number of responses I received from I survey I sent out.

You may also recall I shared my enthusiasm (hopefully not over the top :-) ) about my business and why I enjoyed it so much.

I also mentioned from time to time I enjoy suggesting the odd affiliate product as an additional income stream but to also compliment my primary business.

As I was creating my post however, I felt that since affiliate marketing all by itself is a great option for many, I promised to share a couple of suggestions to help you learn affiliate marketing in case this option appealed to you.

If you’ve been reading my blog for any length of time, you will already know that I rarely promote online marketing courses (or products of any type for that matter); althoughsometimes (on the very odd occasion) might suggest personal development or self growth productbecause of the way they tend to ‘blend’ with my theme.

Nevertheless, if you are chomping to get started and affiliate marketing has tweaked your interest, I would strongly suggest one of the following products to get a good education and learn the ropes:

The first product I ever purchased to learn affiliate marketing was Pot Pie Girls One Week Marketing Course.

I suppose initially I purchased this course because Jennifer, the creator of the course is such a lovely down to earth person who holds nothing back. I love her sense of humour, her attention to detail and the way her ‘normalcy’ shines through in her writing.

The One Week Marketing Course takes you through daily steps to set up one affiliate marketing campaign per week and because Jennifer truly wants to see others succeed, you will notice she over delivers.

There is A LOT of information covered in this course and if you chose the deluxe version, there are also a few additional bonuses.

One way or the other for around the $90.00 mark (or less) you are getting your moneys worth and more.

Now with that said, although I learned a lot from One Week Marketing, and I am pleased I have it, I must confess that my all time favourite… (And I’m talking about ANY COURSE I’ve purchased) is Matt Carters’ Rapid Profit Formula.

Again bear in mind; I have purchased A LOT of different products covering different types of online marketing information these last few years. Some good, some bad and some just plain Ugly!! :-|

Nevertheless, I’ve learned from the majority of products I’ve purchased… as well as from a few mistakes! :-)

There are a few reasons I feel Rapid Profit Formula truly is the best online marketing course I have in my possession and here they are:

First of all Matt Carter is a NO BS kind of guy!

I don’t know him well, (not well at all actually) but we have exchanged a few emails.

He’s not ‘gushing’ and daft, he’s not pompous or stuck up… he’s just straight to the point, honest and pulls no punches.

From the vibe I get over cyber space, he may not be quite as openly warm and fuzzy as Jennifer (although I’m sure his wife would argue that! :-) ) …love him or leave him… he is successful, hard core honest and sensible, and truly knows his stuff. I think he’s ‘crackerjack awesome’ and LOVE him and can tell how much he went all out to help others!

The Rapid Profit Formula he has created is crazy thorough!

He provides a number of PDF’s to read, as well as numerous video’s to lead you through every step of the way; from setting up a blog or mini site, to choosing a decent product … and then just about every imaginable way to drive traffic.

However, like any course you purchase… you have to actually use the blinking thing though, to get anything out of it! (hmmm… imagine that!?) ;-)

The reason for that last quip was because, I, like many other people have been guilty of buying online marketing courses and products in the past…dawdled through parts of them… and then lost interest and allowed them to sit and collect dust for eternity.

This is not smart so DO not follow suit! Not only is it a waste of money… you sure as heck won’t get any further ahead if you don’t use what you’ve bought!

Matt Carter’s Rapid Profit Formula is honestly one of the best few bucks I’ve invested. Not only that, but I thoroughly enjoyed every single part of it from start to finish.(a few times!) and it held my interest to completion!

Additionally, even now, whenever I reference it, I learn even more… and I thought I knew a decent amount to start with! :-) (hmm.. perhaps not!) ;-)

Both of these courses are under a hundred dollars each and are quite honestly, two that I feel could be double or triple in price… particularly when I look at the ridiculous amounts of cash I’ve spent on other products that don’t hold a candle to them.

If you are still looking for the best online business idea (for you)… and network marketing isn’t up your alley as it is mine, but affiliate marketing intrigues you… take it from me, you do not need to spend a fortune in learning how to do it right.

You can honestly learn everything you need to know and more from these two suggestions and need look no further.

I firmly believe in investing in your education regardless of the business model you choose, but with these at your finger tips, it makes no sense to flush your hard earned cash down the proverbial toilet as I have done in the past.

Now in full disclosure, the two products above are affiliate links but even if you choose not to use my links, I would still suggest you take my advice.

Again, it isn’t very often I do suggest online marketing courses on my blog, (or even off my blog for that matter), but if I didn’t truly feel they were value packed I would never suggest them in the first place.

Let me know if you decide to check them out or alternatively if you currently own them and what you think!

Hi Jayne, great to connect with you and love the enthusiasm in your post. The courses that you have shared sounds really good and I agree it is important that if we are going to invest in a course we really should follow it all to the end and implement what we learn.

Hi Jayne,

I’d like to purchase one or both of these courses, probably the guy’s first. But, as you’ve heard thousands of times, I have been royally screwed hundreds of times by internet scammer products and people and don’t want to lose/waste any more money. If you are serious about helping along the way, I would try it. I really want this to work and have a lot of time to devote to it. I’m just going to need someone to contact when I need it. Is this something you do?

Jayne Kopp May 4, 2011 at 3:41 pm

HI Robin, first of all, If I were to start over (ie: go back three years)… I would have started affiliate marketing sooner. That’s quite something, particularly now that I am quite busy with my business. On the other hand, I suppose knowing what I know this far, makes it easier for me to fly through courses because of my experience.

with that said, both courses have a variety of different techniques (from each other) and also a few golden nuggets that are new to me (even after 3 years).

I am over the moon to be honest, especially with Matt’s course and I am really enjoying this new project.

I would be pleased to try to answer any questions you might have and in a way since I’ve only recently started focusing on this, we’ll be limping through together to a certain degree.

Besides, empowering people to get started online is my main gig… so if I can help… I most certainly will.

I am sure you will find the instructions overwhelmingly clear, and I would suggest reading through each course and watching the accompanying videos on Matts course… then going back and putting everything into play the second time around.

If you have ‘time’… you are in a perfect position… and you will get faster as you go.

I know all about buying ‘crap’… been there, done that and that is why I don’t make a habit of suggesting things to people…only this time it was different!

feel free to contact me at any time.

Hi Jayne,

I haven’t heard of these two courses but I am glad you reviewed them. The reason is because there are so many courses out there you don’t even know which one works. Since it’s coming from you, a trusted source, I will go check them out when I am ready to do some affiliate marketing.

I feel it is a good source of revenue and from what I have read, maybe Jennifer’s approach is more my style :) Warm and fuzzy.

Thanks for sharing this!

Jayne Kopp May 4, 2011 at 10:16 am

HI Dianne, both of these courses are incredible. They are also very good when used in conjunction. Jennifer spends a lot of time on ‘free’ methods using sites such as Squidoo, Hub Pages, etc. Where Mat goes through setting up mini sites.

With wordpress of course, depending on your host, you can own multiple sites… and they are of course YOURS so you have full control of what you put on them.

I like warm and fuzzy too :-) but Matt is a sweety… just straight to the point which some people need!

Thanks for stopping by Diana, how’s Italy today? I would loe to visit there one day!

Devesh May 3, 2011 at 9:28 am

Hi Jayne,

Amazing Review about these products.

I haven’t heard about any of them, before. Thanks for this awesome info/reviews with us.

Have a great day !

Jayne Kopp May 4, 2011 at 10:21 am

HI Devesh, If you do affiliate marketing I can almost guarantee that regardless of experience, you will always find Golden Nuggets. For the price of these it’s incredible. Really get “Bang” for your buck!

lovely to see you Dev. Talk soon

Jym @ Attraction Marketing May 2, 2011 at 6:32 am

Glowing Reviews Jayne!

These sound like products worth noting – I haven’t heard of either before.

I love your line “However, like any course you purchase… you have to actually use the blinking thing though, to get anything out of it!”

It’s so true that the magic bullet mentality can rear it’s head with any course or product. At the end of the day it’s still you and your dedication and implementation which makes these things work!

Thanks for sharing these!
All the best,

Jayne Kopp May 2, 2011 at 10:44 am

Jym, thanks for stopping by. Yes I can honestly say that it doesn’t happen often that I am so over the moon with some of my purchases.

These two were so incredibly reasonable, but Matt Carters has truly knocked my socks off. Not only that but he teaches how to set up blogs from the start… then his SEO and backlink building is something that everyone can benefit from.

It’s definitely worth a look for sure.

hope you are having a lovely day.

Stella - Free Internet Marketing Tips May 2, 2011 at 3:07 am

Jayne, thanks for this post. You happen to mention 2 affiliate marketing teachers out there. I learnt great squidoo tips from Potpiegirl, who makes a lot of her online income from marketing on Squidoo lens.

Matt Carter is one of the best affiliate marketing teachers I’ve found, plus he’s good at SEO. From the day I discovered his blog, I have been following him closely and learnt so much useful tips. BTW, I also reviewed his Rapid profit Formula.

Thanks for sharing

Jayne Kopp May 4, 2011 at 10:43 pm

Hi Stella, I am SO sorry your comment just slipped past me and I didn’t see it to approve it till earlier. I apologize for not responding sooner.

Stella! I’m thrilled you concur with my suggestions. both of these products are so different from each other… and I have really enjoyed ‘blending’ them.

Matt is blinking awesome. I really can’t tell you how impressed I am for a young chap to be so thorough and so straight to the point. He has a class A Blog and provides nothing but value.

It is so lovely to meet you. I so enjoyed your post on Dev’s blog. I do hope we can keep running into each other. I will pop over and visit you soon.

Dr. Bob Clarke May 1, 2011 at 7:29 pm

Hi Jayne,

Thanks for the honest reviews of these products. Sounds like you’ve gotten your money’s worth on both.

I am such a firm believer in education and training. As an educator myself, I have to admit to spending most of my marketing budget on new products and training.

I especially like that you included your disclaimer of…. if you don’t implement what you learn, you might as well not buy it. This is true and I have been guilty of this in the past.

So now, my wife Rosemary has set down the law – until you implement what you’ve learned, no more buying.

Ha! She is wise beyond her years!

Thanks again, Jayne!

Jayne Kopp May 4, 2011 at 10:45 pm

HI Bob, lovely to see you as always. Thanks so much for your comment. I am glad Rosemary has that rule set. Its insane to buy things and not implement. If I implemented everything I bought… I’d be the next Mike Dillard! LOL.

I am also glad you agree with the necessity of education. I think ‘we’ are worth it. Don’t you?

See you soon.

Jon May 1, 2011 at 7:06 pm

You know how to connect in such a down-to-earth way that I don’t feel over hyped with your review. It’s refreshing to see more people share their experiences with products and not feel like we’re getting some half-baked look at a course.

Regardless of the course we have to apply what we learn. That’s when the 1% do what’s required to get the results mentioned on sales pages :)

Will have to take a look at these…

Jayne Kopp May 1, 2011 at 7:19 pm

HI Jon, I truly appreciate your saying that I didn’t sound too hypey.

I think one of my main reasons for my excitement (if you will) is that I was the potential for others to learn even ‘non-affiliate marketing lessons. Lets face it, the principle is all the same: get your message or product on a site, provide compelling content… then drive traffic to it!!

You are absolutely correct in stating that only 1% of us apply the knowledge in any event. I have been one of the loosy goosy types before who haven’t finished what I’ve started. I know that gig very well.

I truly feel this product has been a turning point for me though as it held my interest like a soap opera! LOL You can just feel it, and tell with the results.

I do feel that if you were interested having a look, (if this sort of thing is of interest) you certainly would not feel ‘taken’ by half baked info as you put it!

Have a wonderful Sunday Eve and we’ll see you next week.

Jayne Kopp May 1, 2011 at 4:55 pm

Hi Karlene, I think many of us have purchased things that have been less than satisfactory… or in some cases we get side tracked and do not give things the attention they deserve.

I, as you know rarely (if at all) suggest products, but I was so ‘blown away’… that I couldn’t help but see the value for others.

I hope you decide to have a peek at it when you get back into your game. That is of course if you are interested in affiliate marketing… however with that said, the techniques Matt covers can also be used to promote anything… so I feel regardless, this would be a great place for people to get set up and start.

he even shares how to set up a blog… driving traffic, etc, so there is a lot of value.

I hope things are starting to ease for you. I think about you every day.

Lots of love to you and your family. I hope you daughter is healing.

Best regards

Jane | Blogging Tips May 1, 2011 at 5:43 am

Hi Jayne,

Thanks for the wonderful reviews, I very much enjoying reading your honest reviews. The name of the second product startled me “Rapid profit formula” since I believe that there is no such thing called rapid profit. So I got curious, I will check it out :)

Jayne Kopp May 1, 2011 at 10:51 am

Jane, you are so right, and actually after I posted this I thought that I should have touched on the name a bit.

One Week Marketing basically says what it is… but Rapid Profit Formula sounds a bit ‘scammy’ doesn’t it… but it’s funny because when you go through the Program, you will notice that Matt is so Hype Free… the name really does not portrait his personality.

To be honest Jane, I have spend a small fortune over the years… for the less than a hundred bucks, I cant think of a more through course.

Lovely to see you Jane, will be round to see you soon

Janet @ The Natural Networker April 30, 2011 at 4:45 pm

Jayne, aloha. Thx for the reviews. As it happens, a friend of mine is looking at affiliate marketing and wondering where/how to get started. What I will do is give her a link to this post so she can read your complete review. Sounds like if a person is only get to purchase one, Matt’s would be the way to go.

Do you have a site other than this so that she can see what it is you do/how you do it?

Best wishes for a terrific weekend. Aloha. Janet

Jayne Kopp May 1, 2011 at 10:56 am

Aloha Janet, lovely to see you. Today we are actually having a bit of sun like you in beautiful Hawaii.

You know Janet, I have done a bit of affiliate marketing here and there… and although I may not be the savviest as far as blogs go, etc… I do know quite a few bits of varied information.

This is the first course that I have ever taken where I have gone from start to finish, then started again, and kept referring back. It really holds the interest and Matt shows everything from setting up a site, to product reviews and driving traffic better than anyone I’ve ever seen..

If your friend is interested in learning affiliate marketing, I would strongly recommend this to her to be honest… or anyone who wants to see exactly how its done.

I have a few niche sites now, many I am improving as we go, but they likely wouldnt look any different to her than any other site.

Matt shows exactly how to go from point A, select a product and build your mini site better than anyone I’ve seen.

I am actually on his Testimonial section of his landing page…LOL… that’s a first for me, I don’t think I have ever written a testimonial before his…now of course Mavis’s new product.

Have a wonderful sunny day Janet… I am going to get caught up and soak some rays myself… it’s been a while!

Oliver Tausend April 30, 2011 at 1:39 pm

Hi Jayne,

thanks for sharing this. I am so blessed that I am a part of a mastermind group for network marketing that provides me with ongoing training for free. Occasionally, I attend other courses as well, especially for personal development, such as the Millionaire Mind Intensive Seminar. My wife and I also booked the Enlightened Warrior Training in October in Malaysia. We love the experiental (and also the experimental, lol) touch of these trainings compared to normal personal development and business related trainings.

Take care

Jayne Kopp May 1, 2011 at 11:19 am

HI Oliver, I know you thoroughly enjoy MFF and Michael is a beautiful person.

I am pleased to hear you are going to the Intensive in Malaysia, how exciting for you and your wife. You sure know how to do it right Oliver. I absolutely envy your freedom and adventure.

Lovely to see you

Susanna Hess April 30, 2011 at 10:58 am

Hi Jayne,

Love the recommendations. I’ll have to take a peak at them.

You’re tip of following through with the training is golden. It sounds like a no brainer, but it’s so easy to purchase products, and IF we go all the way through them, not actually DO any of the things in them.

Can you imagine if we implemented everything in the products we’ve purchased??? ;)

Thanks for this!

Jayne Kopp May 1, 2011 at 11:22 am

Hi Susanna, well, this is it. We purchase, we become interested, we lose interest and sometimes because we hear of something or another ‘sparkly’ thing flashes before us… we run out of time… that’s the end of story sometimes.

The key to this was that it really held my interest. There are a good few hours of video… but also the written and he doesn’t get hung up on boring stuff.

Even for a seasoned online marketer, he has suggestions that really make you raise your eyebrows and think..”oh for heavens sake… why didn’t I know that” LOL

Its definitely worth a check … Matt is very blunt and straight to the point… even though he has a name of Rapid Profit Formula, he will be the first to say you’ve going to have to work at it.

lovely to see you… and yes… If I implemented everything I’d learned I’d be the next Mike Dillard.

marty April 30, 2011 at 3:35 am

Hi Jayne,
Thanks for you up front honesty in this post. I’m guilty of checking out a lot of opportunities but not really following through. I kinda stop at the “purchase” line. I think I do this because I feel I want to build a bigger list first.
There are a fdew ideas I’m tempted with at this time. I just need to take that step.

Jayne Kopp May 1, 2011 at 1:35 pm

HI Marty, products such as this one are to actually learn something completely different so this time, like many other times I’ve thought “OK, Self… this is the LAST time”… I can honestly say for the first time in a very long time it’s the BEST product I think I own.

I get totally where you are coming from though with regards to putting on the breaks at the purchase line. as well as focusing on building your list.

how’s that going anyway? did you ebook help? What did you think of mine?

karlene April 29, 2011 at 10:02 pm

Hi Jayne,
I am found guilty when it comes to buying programs for online marketing education because the next one was going to be the “cats meow” to success, after all, that’s the name of the game, right???:) But like you, I have acquired some life changing effects by applying the lessons learned by sticking my neck out and buying the programs in the first place.(I will write a blog soon about my experience in my first purchase of online marketing program! For now, suffice it to say friction was THE word!!lol)

I am so going to take a look at the two products you have mentioned and I just might find another nugget to help me along and also, if I like it then I can promote it to others as well. I love affiliate programs!

Take care Jayne!
