Are You Serious About Starting an Online Business?

starting an online business

Are you serious about starting an online business?

I know it sounds like a peculiar questions to ask but if truth be told there are more people who are NOT serious about starting an online business who just like to ‘act’ as though they are.; sadly, despite their obvious  need to  make some financial improvement to their current situation.

Sure, they surf the web, “looking” for ways to earn online… and in ‘some’ cases deep down they would like to… ‘sorta’…. But really what they’d rather do is simply ‘tickle’ their keyboard and ‘pretend’ to ‘act’ as if they’re willing to take the plunge… but the truth is, they’re not. (They can’t be!)

Course I can’t paint everyone with the same brush, as its obvious there definitely is the 3 % that do make the decision to step out and actually crack in, take action  and get down to DOING something about it.

With that said the  remaining 97% all have the same traits and would rather waste not only their own time… but the time of serious entrepreneurs who could help them make the changes they need.

I’ve logged many hours talking to that 97% as most of us have.  Frankly it’s too frustrating, so I’ve long since stopped.  I have simply come to the conclusion that many people who are in need of financial improvement are there for a reason and will likely stay there for the same reasons that landed them there in the first place.

I’m tired of hearing “I have no skills” or “I’m not skilled”… I’m tired of hearing “I’m not good at sales”… or “I have no experience marketing”

I’m tired of hearing “I’m not technical”, or “I have no money”…or hear them questioning the legitimacy of the industry.

So what? (I ask)  What’s your point?

So you have no skills, or you’ve never marketed online before?

“Welcome to the club” I say!

Nobody is born with the engrained knowledge to market online, or do anything new for that matter.  We all have to learn from scratch with any new task.

Furthermore, you don’t have to be a salesman to start an online business.

If you’ve had no  experience marketing… or you have no money… then isn’t it time you started to change all that?  I mean seriously?

As for ‘legitimacy’… sure there’s the odd twirp, the odd rip of and sure, there is definitely a fair share of hype.

The truth is though, there’s a difference.  If you have half a shred of common sense and use our noggin, you should be able to tell the difference in most cases.  There are definitely more decent people who add value online than there are  scams.

I am firmly of the opinion that many people in that 97% simply have nothing better to do.  They want to make it ‘look’ like they are serious about starting an online business’ but really they’d rather pad their comfort zone with pre loaded “excuses”  Ive  mentioned above… and that is why some never do!

Most of us who are already running a successful online business have started from exactly where you are (minus the excuses)  and because of this… we have ‘chosen’ to offer services and coaching to help you get past all those learning curves.  That is what many of us  do.

We are not here to listen to your excuses, sob stories or anything else.  We are simply here to give you the help you NEED to change your life so you can move forward to success.

If you are serious about starting an online business…

My advice to you is that if you see similarities in  yourself and  that 97% …but you are indeed serious about starting an online business … get off your duff and start doing it!

Don’t sit their thinking about all the things you feel you ‘can’t do’ or wouldn’t be good at!

Don’t keep repeating what you ‘don’t have’….or “have never done“.  These thoughts will only breed the fear of failure… and likely keep you right where you are.

Starting an online business is one of the most affordable ways of changing your circumstances.  If you are not satisfied with life and  IF you really want to turn things around, then roll up your sleeves, cowboy up, pull on your big girl knickers or big boy undies and be prepared to learn the skills you need to get the show on the road to a brighter future.

If you require coaching to get your business up and running as well as to learn the necessary skill sets to move forward, check out my coaching and contact me at any time.

Starting an online business will only improve your current circumstances if you are serious about making a go of it.

“Time”  in my opinion is the crucial investment, but if you are willing to use it wisely to invest in yourself, you have the same chances of success as anyone else on the planet.

Stop thinking and start doing.  That is the bottom line!

The money ain’t coming yet but I can see I have an awful lot to learn. I think the one thing that keeps me going is the belief I have in my self.

Hi Chris, sorry for the late reponse to your comment from a week or so ago. I’ve been busy working on a few different things.

You know, it’s funny, I was just listening to a talk yesterday and one of the most important aspects of success is having ‘faith’ in yourself. I think you are on the right track. Eventually the Law of Compensation will kick in and all your hard work will pay off!

wishing you the best of the best!

Hey Jayne,

Great post here! You really hit the nail here with a precise hit. There are people that act serious in starting a business online but quit in the first steps of getting started. It would be a waste of time dealing with these types of people because these are the people who constantly need to be instructed and motivated. Learning is never enough, we must do what we know to effectively see the results.

Thanks for sharing this Jayne! Keep it up! :)

HI PJ, thanks so much for taking the time to comment and I apologize for my very late response. Have been catching up and making a few changes, hence I haven’t been as active on my blog.

PJ, if I had a penny for everyone who ‘acts’ serious but quit before the going gets tough, I wouldn’t need to do anything else! I can’t understand that mindset, but I guess that’s what puts us in the 3%.

Lovely to see you and thanks for stopping by.

To rule over the world never decline your abilities. Do your work consistently and earn a lot.For on line earning, first learn, launch a blog , select a niche and do a lot of hard work. Money will wait for you. But always think positive.

Hi there, I agree you have to learn first a few skills then work hard but in the end it will pay off if you keep up with the consistency.

Thanks for the comment

You are right Jayne, every person learns from the circumstance. Obstacles make him expert. If a person do negation of his qualities, he can never learn from life.Firm decision and start of work invite success.

Jayne Kopp December 14, 2011 at 10:06 am

HI Maja, learning is key. If we’re not learning we are not moving ahead. It’s critical we all put in effort to make some changes and success is not always convenient. (It rarely is)
